If we talks about lamps inventions we must think about Thomas Alfa Edison. It is not wrong but Edison inventions is electric lamps, the “plain” lamp was invented around 70,000 BC. Before electric lamp was invented, the people used Oil such as olive oil, fish oil, whale oil, beeswax, sesame oil, and nut oil for lighting. That lamp is not safe for table lamps and desk lamps because those lamps can causes fire easily.
The first electric carbon arc lamp was invented by Sir Humphrey Davy but this product is not available for public. After that, Thomas Alfa Edison invented the incandescent lamps. His lamps became the first commercially successful incandescent lamp.
